Raa'i is one Arabic-first, offline-capable web app that helps a camel farm both run and earn. It turns a spoken note into an organized animal record and a vet-ready report with Groq AI, and opens new income from camel-milk products and visitor experiences timed by the Bedouin anwā' star calendar. Built for the Tatweer Hackathon 2026, for Al Qua'a first and scalable across rural UAE.
Camel-farm families in Al Qua'a carry two compounding problems. Operations are scattered across memory, paper, and WhatsApp, so vet visits are hard to prepare for and follow-ups slip. Income leans on a single stream - milk - while the stargazers already drawn to Al Qua'a's dark skies stay invisible, with no easy way to book or buy.
Farming, tourism, and services all sit near each other, but nothing connects them. Raa'i puts services, opportunities, and events into one farm profile - so the same farm that gets easier to run also becomes something visitors can discover and pay for.

A passport for every animal
Each camel gets a digital identity - health, milk, feeding, documents, vaccinations, and a full timeline - so records live in one profile instead of scattered across memory, paper, and WhatsApp.
A spoken note becomes a record
An owner speaks or types in Arabic or English ("رقم ١٢ ما تاكل من أمس وحليبها قل") and Groq AI structures it into an animal record with an issue, urgency, and reminder - with an on-device heuristic fallback so it still works offline and with no API key.
Vet-ready in one click
Structured notes roll up into a one-click vet-ready report - shareable to WhatsApp, printable to PDF, and carrying a safety disclaimer that it organizes information and never replaces a licensed vet.
New income from products and visitors
Owners list camel-milk products and farm experiences - milking, tours, and anwā'-timed stargazing nights - that visitors discover, book, and buy over WhatsApp with no app install, turning a single-income farm into three revenue streams.

Most farm tools stop at record-keeping. Raa'i pairs the operations layer - passports, notes, reminders, reports, and service prep - with an income layer, so the effort of running the farm well feeds directly into products and experiences a visitor can book. One profile, two outcomes, no second app to learn.
Bedouin star seasons, put to work.
The anwā' star calendar is the connective idea: the same Bedouin star seasons that time farm care - feeding, breeding, readiness - also time the stargazing nights visitors come for. Dark skies become a bookable experience, and the calendar that already runs the farm now schedules the tourism around it.

Arabic-first PWA
Next.js 14 with a fully bilingual RTL/LTR interface, self-hosted Cairo and Inter fonts, an installable service-worker PWA, and localStorage persistence so a farm's data stays 'saved on this device' with no backend.
Groq AI, offline-safe
A server route calls Groq (Llama 3.1) to structure - not diagnose - notes into strict JSON, keeps the key server-side only, and falls back to a local heuristic the moment the key is missing or the call fails.
Configurable scale
Community templates cover six UAE regions with no rebuild - just configuration - and the whole app ships on Cloudflare Workers via @opennextjs/cloudflare, live at raai.kanbanstudios.ae.
