Security Philosophy
Kanban Studios follows practical security principles focused on least privilege, clean access management, secure configuration, careful handling of credentials, and human-reviewed deployment. Security is treated as part of how systems are built, not an afterthought.
Access Control
Access to client systems is limited to what is required for delivery. Where possible, clients should provide temporary access, role-based permissions, or limited credentials so that access can be scoped and revoked cleanly.
Client Credentials
Clients should avoid sharing passwords in plain text. Credentials should be shared through secure channels, temporary access methods, password managers, or role-based accounts wherever possible.
Software Development Practices
Kanban Studios aims to build systems that are maintainable, traceable, and reviewed before deployment. Security practices may include code review, dependency checks, environment separation, access control, secure configuration, and careful handling of secrets.
Cloud and Infrastructure
Cloud, hosting, database, and deployment choices are made based on project requirements, reliability, maintainability, security, and client needs.
Data Handling
Client project data is accessed only as required for delivery and support. We apply data minimization, controlled access, and secure handling throughout an engagement. How we process data is described in our Data Processing page.
AI Tool Usage
AI tools may support development and review, but sensitive credentials, private client data, and confidential systems should not be exposed to public tools without permission or project requirement.
Incident Reporting
Security concerns related to Kanban Studios systems or projects should be reported to hello@kanbanstudios.ae. We review reports promptly and act on issues that affect client systems or data.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for protecting their own accounts, credentials, devices, and internal access, and for granting only the access required for an engagement. Strong security is a shared responsibility between Kanban Studios and the client.
Security Scope
Advanced security reviews, penetration testing, compliance audits, regulated data handling, or formal risk assessments may require a separate engagement.
